General education studies the entire field of education, yet focuses especially on institutional education and school systems as well as children and adolescents in compulsory education.
What questions does the field examine?
What are the known and unknown, micro and macro level impacts of education, training, and instruction in society and culture? How do education and growth, schooling and school attendance as well as instruction and learning encounter one another?
