What does the field study?
The philosophy of education explores the phenomena of education, schooling, and instruction from a philosophical perspective. The focus is on the core values of education and surrounding, worldview assumptions.

What questions does the field examine?
Philosophy of education enquiries as to what education is, what are the values presupposed by educational aims, and what kind of ethical criteria area used in determining acceptable educational methods.
