Psychology of Education

What does the field study?
The psychology of education examines the phenomena of learning, thinking, teaching, guidance, education, and development throughout human life in order to explain and understand their related actors. Common research environments include families, kindergartens, schools, vocational high schools, universities, and working life organizations. Education, schooling, and instruction are studied from the perspective of psychological knowledge or mainly through an individual's perspective.

What questions does the field examine?
How do people learn and develop? What kind of interaction and learning environments are central for people to learn and develop? To what extent and how can education, schooling and instruction influence peoples’ development and learning?
